Good Eats Vegan Style
An essential aspect of Being is eating. As part of the mission of this site, I would like to have a space to promote, Food! and high quality, sustainable food that will promote a better future on Planet Earth for all. To kick this off, I am posting some books that will provide a path toward sustainable food.
I am hoping to develop this page to include information on how to incorporate a vegan lifestyle into everyday living. Some essential ingredients to keep in the kitchen.
Olive Oil - can be used often as a replacement for butter, or you can pick up Vegan Butter
Peanut Butter - a staple item for breakfast and lunch, peanut butter is great on toast, pb&j sandwiches and also fabulous with bananas
Trail Mix, Granola bars, cereal w/ either Almond milk, Soy Milk, or Rice Milk
Pasta, organic, whole wheat, gluten free pasta
Quinoia- great to use as a replacement for rice, can be mixed w/ fresh vegetables, tofu, and soy sauce for a great meal.
Coffee - a karmically solid choice would be organic and free trade.
Yogi teas - pick from the many different varieties
Tofu, baked or super firm work out great
Vegan cheese, whole foods has a great selection of vegan cheese, use your cheese shredder to shred over tortilla chips and melt in the oven on a baking sheet, you can throw some jalapenos over top of them and then put some salsa in a small bowl on the side for serving, also throw in some avocado for a bit of freshness
Fruit - any kind you like
Dessert - whole foods usually has some baked vegan goods like chocolate cake or brownies

EssentialChia.com. From essentialchia.com: What is Chia? Chia (Salvia Hispanica), also known as "Salba" seed was the power food of the ancient Aztecs. Along with Corn and Beans, Chia was a main component of the early Mesoamerican diet. According to Spanish manuscripts, the Aztecs ate Chia seeds to maintain energy and improve endurance during long expeditions. Further, Chia is a superfood. It is the highest known plant source of Omega-3s, high in fiber, antioxidants, iron, protein and is an excellent source of nutrition for vegans and individuals with gluten sensitivities.

Made a couple of adjustments.
Hello! I wanted to send you a link to my website www.essentialchia.com. I basically only offer one product, the Chia seed. Chia is a superfood. It is the highest known plant source of Omega-3s, high in fiber, antioxidants, iron, protein and is an excellent source of nutrition for vegans and individuals with gluten sensitivities. The fastest way to see what this seed is all about is to watch the purple "What is Chia" Video on my site. There is a media file available in several places throughout the site or you can go to RELATED MEDIA page and watch the Youtube version. I would like to link your site in to my glossary under the Vegan and Vegetarianism sections. Please let me know if this works for you. Take care!
